Endocrinology syllabus is being offered to semester III students of Biochemistry programme. This course deals with the biosysthesis, its biological action and molecular regulation of endocrine hormones and the complex interaction with the general physiology. In depth knowledge of the hormonal action will help the student to understand the role of hormones in maintaining the physiology in a healthy as well as in a diseased state.
As we go through the first unit of endocrinology, we learn about the complex understanding about the types of receptor classes and the need to have so many polymorphisms needed in these receptors.
